Functions of key “+”

Long press for 1 second: Check the power status
Long press for 3 seconds: Start or stop charging

Functions of key “-”

If ThinCharge has 100% charge, the green light will stay lit.
If ThinCharge has 67-99% charge left, the green light will flash 1 time.
If ThinCharge has 34-66% charge left, the green light will flash 2 times.
If ThinCharge has 1-33% charge left, the green light will flash 3 times.
If ThinCharge has 1% or less charge, the red light will flash.

Installing the ThinCharge Battery Case

  1. Remove the top from the ThinCharge battery case and place it off to the side.
  2. Gently slide your iPhone 6/6s into the case.
  3. Take extra care to ensure the iPhone 6/6s camera lens does not get caught on the case while installing it. If need be, gently pull the top of the iPhone 6/6s away from the case to make extra room for the camera lens.
  4. Ensure the iPhone 6/6s is slid all the way to the bottom of the ThinCharge case.
  5. Reattach the top of the case with the cut-out facing the back of the iPhone 6/6s. You should hear a snapping sound indicating it is properly attached.

Removing the ThinCharge Battery Case

  1. With one hand, insert your fingernail between the iPhone 6/6s and the removable top of the ThinCharge battery case.
  2. With the other hand, securely hold the iPhone 6/6s and the rest of the ThinCharge case.
  3. Using your fingernail, carefully pull the top away from the rest of the case. You should hear a snapping sound when it detaches.
  4. Slowly slide the iPhone 6/6s out of the ThinCharge case using two fingers.

How to Charge the iPhone 6/6s and ThinCharge Battery Case

  1. Hold down “+” key on the ThinCharge case for 3 seconds to begin charging your iPhone. To stop charging, hold down for an additional 3 seconds. If the iPhone is fully charged or if the ThinCharge case is out of power, it will stop charging automatically.
  2. When plugged in, the iPhone 6/6s will be charged to 100% first and then the ThinCharge case will begin charging. The case will stop charging automatically once it is fully charged.

Remarks

  1. When charging the ThinCharge battery case, the LED lights will flash in different frequencies to indicate how long until it is fully charged.
  2. When using the ThinCharge to charge the iPhone, the LED indicator will only keep working for 30 seconds (the iPhone will indicate the charging status).
  3. When checking the battery capacity status, the LED light will stay on for 30 seconds.

Important Information

  1. To protect battery life, we recommend charging the ThinCharge at least once a month, even if you have stopped using it. Failure to do so can lead to a loss in battery capacity.
  2. Please use the original cable that came with your iPhone charge and sync.
  3. If you are experiencing abnormal charging rates, remove the iPhone from the case and reinstall If any abnormal charging occurs, please take out the phone and reinstall it into the ThinCharge. Please take the following steps to ensure that your ThinCharge is working correctly. Take the phone out of the ThinCharge and then reinstall it, creating a hard reset. Make sure that your phone is inserted all the way into the case. If not connected tightly it will cause connection issues when trying to charge.
  4. Make sure you also reboot your iPhone before reinstalling it to the ThinCharge. To do so, press and hold down the iPhone home button and power button at the same time until the phone resets. Then, reinstall the iPhone to the ThinCharge.
  5. When using desktop computer charging or data synchronization please use the rear computer USB interface. The front USB interface may not be able to charge or data synchronization because the voltage has not reached the standard 5V.

Warranty Information

The ThinCharge warranty covers manufacture defects only. It does not cover any product failure, defect or malfunction that is caused as a result of overuse, misuse or failure to follow operating instructions. Tampering, abuse, normal wear and tear, or use with improper or faulty equipment is also not covered. Incidental damage such as water damage or cracks are also not covered. To place a claim, proof of purchase from ChargeTech or an Authorized ChargeTech Dealer is required. After we have determined your item is covered by our One (1) Year Limited Warranty, you may be required to send the damaged ThinCharge case back to us for a replacement.

Please read all instructions before using the product. Improper use of this product may result in product damage, overheating, toxic fumes, catching fire, for which damages are not in compliance of the warranty.

  1. Do not place the ThinCharge in high temperature environments, including direct sunlight.
  2. Do not use the device if it gives off an odor, generates heat, becomes deformed, or appears abnormal in any way. If the device is in use or being recharged, immediately discontinue using.
  3. Do not pierce the device casing with a nail, other sharp objects, break it with a hammer, or step on it.
  4. Please strictly follow assembling and disassembling steps.
  5. Do not expose this device to moisture or submerge it in liquid. Keep it dry at all times.
  6. Be cautious of excessive drops, abrasions, or other impacts to the ThinCharge. If any damage of the battery is discovered, please stop using it immediately and contact us at customerservice@chargetech.com for maintenance or replacement. If ThinCharge top falls off, please stop using the ThinCharge immediately and contact us for a replacement top.
  7. Keep the device well ventilated when using or charging. Do not place it in enclosed spaces, such as bedding, and high temperature areas.
  8. Over-discharging may cause loss of cell performance, characteristics, or battery functions. Please recharge the device once a month if the device is not in use.
    Do not disassemble.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to charge?
When charging it takes 3-6 hours using the original iPhone charging cable. Using non-Apple certified charging cables may prolong charging time or even fail to charge the device at all. It also depends on other factors, such as charging direct current. Please note that while the phone is in the case, plugged in, it will charge the phone first, and the case second.

The top of my ThinCharge keeps falling off, what do I do?
Make sure that the top of your ThinCharge case is fully secured. You should hear a distinct clicking noise when it is properly attached. If your ThinCharge top continues to fall off, please stop using the ThinCharge immediately and visit https://chargetech.com/tc-top/ to get a replacement top.

When the iPhone is plugged into the case why am I receiving the error message, “This accessory may not be supported”?

How many charge cycles can I expect with the ThinCharge Case?
The ThinCharge is rechargeable for over 500 times. (These are full cycles) Partial cycles are not counted as a full cycle, so you can charge your ThinCharge 10% of the way 10 times before it counts as a complete cycle. After 300 charge cycles, capacity will decline to 80% of the initial capacity while about 500 times be 75% of original capacity. Continued use will slowly continue to reduce the capacity.
